We have been involved in the development of wearable surgical displays since the beginning, 20 to 25 years ago. Back then we called them headmounted displays as they were still helmet-sized. Now they have significantly better optics, are small, lightweight and truly wearable for lengthy periods.
From early on we learned the importance of pristine image quality, fatigue-free optics, hand-eye co-ordination, situational awareness and with that surgeon ergonomics. We know what surgeons need and demand.
