Innovating Surgical Visualization

Our purpose is to be a leader in development and commercialization of wearable, smart, medical grade displays, which will be a key information platform for surgeons working in the integrated operating rooms of the near-future. Our first product platform, the CR3 Wearable Surgical Monitor, is projected to launch in Q1 2024.

As advanced minimally invasive techniques are applied to increasingly complex procedures, enabled by the precision of robotics, the accuracy of image guidance, the clarity of high-resolution 3D visualization and critical decisions informed by instant access to patient-specific real-time information, lightweight, ergonomic, high-definition displays are the surgeon’s wearable command and control interface with all of these elements. We believe that such displays will be ubiquitous in the operative rooms and interventional suites of the industrial world by the end of this decade.

HMDmd, Inc. is a collaboration between Kopin Corporation (KOPN) and the experienced medical device management team which commercialized the first FDA cleared head-mounted display. KOPN is a leading developer and provider of innovative wearable display technologies and critical components for military, enterprise and consumer applications.
